Mr. Richard T. Schlosberg, III has been the Chief Executive Officer and President of The David and Lucile Packard Foundation (private family foundation) since 1999. Prior to joining the David and Lucile Packard Foundation in 1999, Mr. Schlosberg was Executive Vice President of The Times Mirror Company, as well as publisher and Chief Executive Officer of the Los Angeles Times. Earlier, he served in the same role at the Denver Post. He served five years as an Air Force ... pilot and is a veteran of the Vietnam War. Mr. Schlosberg is a 23-year veteran of the communications business. He serves as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation. He is the past chairman of United Way campaigns in Denver and Los Angeles. Under his leadership, the Times and the Post were repeatedly recognized for excellence. He has been a Director at Edison International since 2002 and serves as it's Lead Director. He has been a Director of Southern California Edison Company since 2002 and has been its Lead Director since April 2010. He has been a Director of eBay Inc., since March 19, 2004. He served as a Director of BEA Systems Inc., since April 18, 2005. In addition, Mr. Schlosberg is a National board Member of the Smithsonian Institution and the National Air and Space Museum, is a member of the board of KCET-TV, the Los Angeles public television station, and is a trustee of Pomona College in Southern California. His previous board affiliations include Junior Achievement, the Salvation Army, and the Newspaper Association of America. Mr. Schlosberg holds a BS from the United States Air Force Academy and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
