Background

Mr. Tony Berno serves as Member of Scientific Advisory Board at Envoy Therapeutics, Inc. Mr. Berno provides bioinformatics support and consultation to Envoy Therapeutics, including data curation, database development, statistical analysis, and visualization tools. He spent several years working with Ron Davis at the Stanford Genome Center, developing multi-channel electrophoretic gel analysis and basecalling software for ABI automated DNA sequencers. In 1995, he began ... working with Affymetrix, developing software for polymorphism (SNP) detection using DNA microarrays. When Perlegen Sciences was formed in 2000, Tony joined the startup team and led the development of a high throughput data analysis infrastructure that would be used for more than 500,000 microarray experiments. In 2008, Mr. Berno moved to Mendocino County, California and became an independent consultant. In addition to bioinformatics development, he is a part-time professional chef and owner of a specialty catering business providing fine dining for local wineries and wine country businesses. During his time as an undergraduate, he produced data acquisition and analysis software for the Center for Accelerator Mass Spectrometry at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. Mr. Berno received a bachelor of science in Engineering Physics at the University of British Columbia in 1993.
