His global responsibilities include oversight of media subsidiaries and brands such as CIO, Computerworld, InfoWorld, Macworld, Network World, PC World and GamePro. ... He is also responsible for IDG World Expo, IDG List Services, IDG Research, and IDG's major accounts group. Previously, he served as the Chief Executive Officer of IDG Communications in the US. He has more than 20 years of publishing, sales, and marketing experience. He served as Chief Executive Officer and President of Computerworld Inc. since April 2003. Mr. Carrigan served as Senior Vice President for Interactive Marketing Group at AOL which acquired Spinner.com. There, he served as Senior Vice President of e-commerce and advertising for the Internet radio company. During the first part of his IDG career, he served for seven years at PC World in senior sales management positions. He began his IDG career at Digital News as an intern and was promoted to New England Regional Manager and Eastern Sales Manager. He served as the Chairman of Interactive Advertising Bureau Inc. until February 2012 and serves as its Director. Mr. Carrigan serves a Director of American Business Media. He has been a Director of MediaBrix, Inc. since September 1, 2011. He served as Secretary of American Business Media (ABM). He was recognized as the Chief Executive Officer Innovator by Media Business magazine and was named to its “Who's Who” list. He was also selected for the Media Industry Newsletter (Min's) Sales Hall of Fame. Mr. Carrigan is an Undergraduate at Boston University and also graduated from the same University with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and completed the Radcliffe Publishing Course.
