Mr. Duncan Edwards has been the Chief Executive Officer and President of Hearst Magazines International of Hearst Magazines since January 1, 2009. Mr. Edwards served as the Chief Executive Officer of The National Magazine Company Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hearst Magazines International since May 2005. He joined National Magazine Company in 1989 as its Advertisement ... Director for Company magazine and then served as its Publisher since 1991. He served as Managing Director of National Magazine Company since 2002. He served as a Director of Corporate Business Development of National Magazines since 1994, with a brief to enhance the sales and sales marketing structure and was heavily involved as Project Director on the creation of the Quality of Reading Survey (QRS) by the Periodical Publishers' Association. Mr. Edwards has overseen the restructuring of the Classified Sales, Regional Sales, International Sales and Promotions Departments and has developed many partnerships with major existing and new users of the magazine medium at National Magazines. Mr. Edwards served as a Deputy Managing Director of National Magazine Company since October 1998. Mr. Edwards entered the media industry in 1985. He joined the recruitment sales department at Media Week Ltd., shortly after its launch and spent four years in various sales roles, finishing with two years as Advertisement Manager. He served as the Chairman of COMAG since 2004. He has been Vice Chairman of The National Magazine Company of Hearst Magazines International since February 1, 2009 and also serves as its Director. He has been a Director at The Hearst Corporation since March 2011. He serves as a Director of NatMag Rodale Limited. He is a Director of The National Readership Survey. Mr. Edwards obtained his dual honors degree in Geography and Politics from Sheffield University.
