He has been the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bojangles' Restaurants, Inc., since September 17, 2007. He has been a Director of Marsh & Mclennan Companies Inc. since January 18, 2006. Mr. Oken has been a Director at Capital Bank Financial Corp. (formerly known as North American Financial Holdings, Inc.) since 2009 and Sonoco Products Co., since February 2, 2006. He serves as a Director of Capital Bank, National Association. He served as a Director of Star Scientific Inc., since October 11, 2005. Mr. Oken received an M.B.A. degree from the University of West Florida in 1973 and a B.S. in Business Administration from Loyola College, Baltimore in 1968.
