Mr. Christopher H. Ackerley, Chris co-founded Ackerley Partners, LLC in 2002 and serves as its Partner. Mr. Ackerley served as the President and Director of The Ackerley Group, Inc., where he oversaw the daily operations of the national media and entertainment company. Mr. Ackerley joined The Ackerley Group in 1995 and served as Vice President for Marketing and Development since May 1998. He also served as an Executive Vice President of Operations and Development from ... December 1998 till his election as a Co-President in 2000. Mr. Ackerley was instrumental in identifying operational opportunities across all operating divisions (outdoor media, television, radio and sports, and entertainment) as well as assessing and pursuing strategic business initiatives. He was the point person in expanding and developing the relationship with the analyst community and Wall Street. In early 2002, Mr. Ackerley successfully co-led the merger of The Ackerley Group with Clear Channel Communications, Inc. In early 2001, he led the negotiations and completion of The Ackerley Group’s sale of the Seattle SuperSonics and the Seattle Storm to The Basketball Club of Seattle for $200 million, which maximized shareholder value and generated an internal rate of return of 24 percent. In 1999, he successfully led and completed a secondary stock offering of 4.2 million shares of common stock in The Ackerley Group. Mr. Ackerley also spearheaded the launch of Ackerley Ventures during his term as the President at The Ackerley Group. He started his professional career at Bank of America in London, England. He has been a Director of Washington Trust Bank since December 17, 2012. He served on the Board of Directors of BuzzLogic, Inc., FastChannel Network, Jott Networks Inc., Plum TV Inc., and i5 Digital. Mr. Ackerley is involved with many civic and community organizations. He is an Emeritus Board Member of Seattle Works and previously sat on the Lakeside School Alumni Board. Mr. Ackerley currently serves on the Board of Governors of the Business Alliance For Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, the World Trade Center of Seattle, Pacific Science Center, Downtown Seattle Association, and The First Tee of Seattle. In addition, he is a Member of the Northwest Chapter of the Young President's Organization. Mr. Ackerley is also involved in The Film School and serves as the Vice President of The Ginger and Barry Ackerley Foundation. In 2001, he was recognized by the Puget Sound Business Journal as one of the region’s most influential “40 Under 40” business leaders and in 2004, he was the recipient of the inaugural Outstanding Alumni Board Member Award by Settle Works for his many contributions to the Settle community. Mr. Ackerley attended the University of Arizona.
