Mr. Donald L. Evans, Don, is a Senior Partner and Principal at Quintana Capital Group, L.P. He served as the Chief Executive Officer of the Financial Services Forum between June 2005 and 2007. In 1975, Mr. Evans moved to Midland, Texas, and began his career as a roughneck working on oil rigs at Tom Brown, Inc. In 1985, he was appointed the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at Tom Brown, Inc., continuing in that position until his appointment as the United States Secretary ... of Commerce in 2001. Mr. Evans has been Non-Executive Chairman at Energy Future Holdings Corporation since October 2007. He was appointed to the Board of Regents of The University of Texas System in 1995 and subsequently served two consecutive terms as the Chairman of the Board. He serves as a Director of Genesis Energy LLC, the General Partner of Genesis Energy LP. Mr. Evans was involved with the United Way for many years serving as the President of the Midland branch in 1989 and as the Campaign Chair in 1981. He has made significant contributions in local and national politics over the past 25 years, having worked on behalf of Governor Bush’s successful gubernatorial campaigns in 1994 and 1998 and serving as the Chairman of Bush/Cheney 2000 campaign. Mr. Evans served as the 34th Secretary of the United States Department of Commerce. He was a core member of President George W. Bush’s economic team, advising the President on issues including pro-growth and job-creating economic policies, international trade, business concerns, and energy policy. He has been a Director at Genesis Energy, Inc. since February 2010. Mr. Evans received an MBA. in 1973 and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering in 1969 from the University of Texas at Austin.
