Mr. James P. Bankoff, Jim has been the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Vox Media, Inc. (also known as SB Nation, Inc.) since January 2009. Mr. Bankoff is an Advisor of LaunchBox Digital. He served as a Senior Advisor at Providence Equity Partners LLC since February 19, 2008. He advised Providence Equity Partners on new investment opportunities and certain of its existing investments in the online and digital media space. Previously, he served as Executive Vice ... President of Programming, Properties and Productions at Time Warner Inc. Prior to joining Providence in 2008, he served as Executive Vice President of Programming and Products at AOL Inc. He served as programming across the AOL service covering all platforms. In this role, he was responsible for online programming and services spanning a full range of categories such as entertainment, kids and teens, lifestyle, and community programming. He spearheaded the development of the new AOL.com and TMZ.com. Mr. Bankoff presided over consumer web sites such as Moviefone, MapQuest, BloggingStocks, AOL Music, and Engadget. He also oversaw AOL’s instant messaging services, AIM and ICQ, and social networking and community applications including Blogsmith and Netscape.com. He served as the President at AOL Web Properties, where he coordinated the integration of online properties across Time Warner. In this role, he was responsible for Netscape, CompuServe, Moviefone, MapQuest, ICQ, and AOL Instant Messenger services. As the President of Netscape, he was charged with directing business operations and managing the continued growth of Netscape.com. Prior to this, Mr. Bankoff served as the Vice President of Strategy and Operations for the AOL Brand, where he was responsible for leading several critical businesses and operating infrastructure groups that supported the AOL core service. He also led the AOL Plus and AOL Music programming groups. Prior to joining AOL in 1995, he held positions at Ruder Finn's Global Public Affairs Group and CNN. He serves as the Chairman of Tagshine Corp. (also known as Qloud), Sportsblogs Inc., and Network for Good. He has been a Director of Rosetta Stone, Inc. since November 14, 2012, Inform Technologies, Inc. since July 2008 and Where, Inc. since June 2008. He serves as a Director of uLocate and Groundspring.org. He served as a Director of Audible, Inc. from July 13, 2007 to March 11, 2008. He is an Emmy Award Winner (Live8). Mr. Bankoff received an M.B.A. from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. in International Studies from Emory University.
