Mr. Gerald L. Shaheen, Gerry serves as Treasurer of U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Shaheen served as Group President of Caterpillar Inc. from 1998 to February 1, 2008. Mr. Shaheen served as Vice President of Caterpillar Overseas S.A.'s Engine Products Division from 1995 to 1998. Prior to that, he served as Managing Director of Caterpillar Overseas S.A. from 1993 to 1995 where he had the responsibility for Engine Marketing and Administration for Caterpillar's business ... in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and the former Soviet Union. Since joining Caterpillar Inc., in 1967 as a Staff Assistant in Service Engineering, Mr. Shaheen has held numerous Marketing and General Management positions, both in the United States and Europe. He completed two tours at Caterpillar Overseas S.A. in Geneva, Switzerland, where he served as Product Support Manager from 1979 to 1982. He has served the University in several capacities, including the President of the National Alumni Association. Mr. Shaheen serves as Vice Chairman at U.S. Chamber of Commerce and First Vice Chairman of the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM). He has been an Independent Director of Ford Motor Co., since July 11, 2007. Mr. Shaheen serves on the Board of Directors of the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM), Bradley University, The Mineral Information Institute Inc., and The National Chamber Foundation. He served as a Director of Aquila Inc. from August 2001 to December 2005. He served as Director of AGCO Corp. since October 28, 2005. He served as a Director of National City Corporation, since 2001. In Peoria, he serves on the OSF Saint Francis Medical Center Foundation Council, as well as on the Board of Trustees of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Greater Illinois Chapter, and Peoria NEXT. While living in Geneva, Switzerland, he was active in several international organizations, serving on the Board of Directors for the International Enterprise Foundation of Geneva. He was recognized as Distinguished Alumnus in 1993 and was inducted into the Centurion Society that same year. He completed the Tuck Executive Program at Dartmouth College in 1988. Mr. Shaheen holds a Bachelor's degree in Marketing from Bradley University in 1966 and an MBA from Bradley in 1968.
