Ms. Daria Lopresti Foster is a Managing Partner at Lord, Abbett & Co. LLC. She is responsible for the global operations of the firm, including investment management, institutional investment services, private wealth, marketing, and relationship management, as well as operations, technology, and legal services. Ms. Foster also serves as the President and Director of Lord Abbett Mutual Funds and oversees the firm's Product Development and Risk Management Committees. In ... 2005, she was named the Director of Global Client Services, and led the effort to combine and integrate the retail and institutional investment services businesses. Ms. Foster was made a Partner in 1996, where she was instrumental in developing numerous new investment products, and working closely with operations, technology, client services, legal, and trading to facilitate implementation of these capabilities and in 1992, she was made the Director of Marketing and Client Service. She joined the firm in 1990 as the Director of Fixed-Income Marketing, and was responsible for establishing the firm's institutional investment business. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Foster served as the Vice President of Marketing at the Chemical Investment Group. Previously, she served as a Vice President and Manager at the Irving Trust Co., an Assistant Vice President at Marine Midland Bank, N.A., and an Assistant Treasurer at Chase Manhattan Bank. Ms. Foster also serves on the Board of Urban Education Exchange. She is a contributor to several leading institutional trade publications, including Barron's, Pensions & Investments, and Plan Sponsor. Ms. Foster received a B.A. degree from Gettysburg College in 1976.
