Mr. Charles C. Krulak, USMC (Ret.) has been the President of Birmingham-Southern College since June 2011. Gen. During his 35-year career in the US Marine Corps (USMC), he served two tours of duty in Vietnam and rose through several command and staff positions to the position of Commandant of the US Marine Corps and member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff from June 1995 to September 1999. Gen. Krulak serves as Chairman of the Board of Visitors of the U. S. Naval Academy. He served as Vice Chairman of Personnel and New Business Acquisition of Mbna Corp., which he joined in 1999. Gen. Gen. Krulak holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy and a Master of Science degree in Labor Relations from George Washington University.
