Mr. Solomon has overseen the launched of several important MLB initiatives, including the 2006 opening of the MLB Urban Youth Academy at Compton College in California and such annual events as the MLB Umpire Camps in 2006, the Civil Rights Game in 2007 and the 2008 debut of the annual MLB Urban Invitational, a college baseball tournament that featured UCLA, USC, Bethune-Cookman and Southern University. He has been an Independent Director of Victory Acquisition Corp. since January 12, 2007. Mr. Solomon serves on the Board of Directors for NAACP Legal Defense and Education Fund, Inc. Mr. Solomon served as a Director of Triplecrown Acquisition Corp. from July 8, 2007 to November 2009. He served as an Advisory Board Member for Elementary Baseball, Inc. Mr. Solomon is a Member of the Diversity Task Force for Women’s Sports Foundation. He served on the Board of Directors for the Greater Washington Boys and Girls Club. Mr. Solomon received a Bachelor of Arts from Dartmouth College and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.
