Dr. Yibing Wu, Ph.D. serves as the President of CITIC Private Equity Funds Management Co., Ltd. Dr. Wu joined CITIC Private Equity Funds Management in November 2009. He served many enterprises in Asia, the United States, and Europe in various transactions, with a focus on M&A and corporate finance. Prior to joining CITIC Private Equity Funds Management Co., Ltd., Dr. Wu was a Managing Director at Legend Holdings, Ltd. and its Executive Vice President until November 2009. ... At Legend Holdings, he was in charge of overseeing overall business operations and its direct investment business. In this role, Dr. Wu was responsible for developing and coordinating overall strategy, asset allocation, and leading principal investment for the firm. During his tenure at Legend Holdings, he successfully led the equity investments in financial, energy and consumer sectors as well as a number of growth capital investments in new energy and high-tech arena. Prior to that, Dr. Wu served as the Chief Strategy Officer, Chief Integration Officer, Chief Transformation Officer, and Chief Information Officer of Lenovo Group, where he led its initial business integration effort for three years immediately following the acquisition of IBM's Personal Computing Division, and also played an important role in the strategy development and negotiation of the transaction. He directly led the team in deal negotiation, transaction execution and the post-investment integration and transformation. He was also the Head of Business Transformation at Lenovo Group Ltd., since December 14, 2006. He served as the Chief Transformation Officer at Lenovo India where he was responsible for designing and implementing process and organizational changes and overseeing key strategic initiatives. Before joining Lenovo, Dr. Wu served as the Managing Director at McKinsey & Company. He was the Senior Partner at McKinsey & Company, the General Manager of Beijing office, and Head of Asia-Pacific M&A, where he oversaw mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring and IPO advisory for large Chinese enterprises. While at McKinsey, Dr. Wu worked with a wide range of high tech and telecommunications industry clients. He advised a number of leading Asian companies international expansion effort, as well as advised a dozen top Chinese SOE’s restructuring and overseas IPO. He also worked as a Technology Licensing Consultant at Harvard University. Dr. Wu serves as the Chairman of Gold Stone Investment Co., Ltd. and has been a Non-Executive Director of Neptune Orient Lines Ltd. since April 14, 2011. He serves as a Non-Executive Director of Lenovo Group Limited. He serves as a Member of the Advisory Board of China Unicom. Dr. Wu served as a Non-Executive Director of Lenovo Group Limited from May 21, 2009 to November 2009. He is a Director of China Social Entrepreneur Foundation. Dr. Wu holds a Ph.D. from Harvard University and a B.Sc. from the University of Science and Technology of China.
