Dr. Michael Sumner Estes, PhD, Mike serves as an Operational Consultant of Medical Entrepreneurs II, Inc., and has been its Chairman of the Board of Directors since 2006. Dr. Estes has more than thirty years experience in the Global Medical Device Industry developing and establishing high technology businesses in the Cardiovascular and Orthobiologic fields. Prior to Medical Entrepreneurs, Dr. Estes served as an Independent Consultant of Corazon Inc. from 2001 to 2005. ... Dr. Estes served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Orquest Inc. from 1996 to 1999. From 1979 to 1995, Dr. Estes held executive positions with American Hospital Supply Corporation and Baxter Healthcare Corporation, including responsibility for the worldwide Cardiovascular Group at Baxter HealthCare. He served as Vice President of R&D for the Edwards Division of Baxter and later he moved into General Management and served as Division President and as Group Vice President of Baxter International and responsible for the Cardiovascular Business (including the Edwards division) with concurrent responsibilities for the corporate management of various European countries and served as President of Baxter Japan. Dr. Estes has also guided the successful formation and financing of several high-technology start-up companies. He has been the Chairman of nContact, Inc. (also known as nContact Surgical, Inc.) since February 2007. Dr. Estes served as the Chairman of World Heart Corp. until August 2, 2012 and its Independent Director from April 2007 to August 2, 2012. He serves as a Director of nContact Inc.
