He served as Senior Vice President for the Regional Network for JHHS since 1991 and he successfully developed 11 different joint ventures with network partner hospitals and was responsible for the substantial growth of each network hospital's medical staff, market share and mix of clinical services. He served as a Trustee of Jewish Hospital & St. Mary's HealthCare. He has been instrumental in the community by serving on numerous boards and campaigns. He serves on the Bellarmine University Board of Trustees, the Leadership Kentucky Board of Directors and the Leadership Louisville Board of Directors. He serves as a Director at Greater Louisville Inc. He has served as board chair for St. Xavier High School Board of Directors, Co-chair of Xaverian Legacy Capital Campaign and serves on the Project X Campaign Cabinet. Mr. Shircliff's other board appointments have included Republic Bank Board of Directors, St. Leonard Church School Board and Renovation Committee, Louisville Metro United Way Board of Directors and campaign Chairman, Shelby County Industrial Development Foundation Board of Directors and Presentation Academy Board of Directors. He is recipient of many awards. He was the recipient of the Louisville Catholic School Distinguished Alumni Award, the Allen Society Award and was a Leadership Louisville Bingham Fellow in 2001. He received a Bachelor of Science in Commerce in 1977 and a Master's Degree in Health Care Administration from Washington University School of Medicine in 1979.
