Background

Mr. Ronald Hulme, Ron serves as the Chief Executive Officer at Parallel Resource Partners, LLC. Mr. Hulme is responsible for leading the development of the ERR Fund’s investment strategy and processes as well as its investor relations efforts. Mr. Hulme also originates investments for the Fund. Prior to this, from late 2008 until the initial closing of the Fund in February 2011, he served as the Chief Executive Officer at Carlson Capital, L.P. and also led the Energy ... Group at Carlson Capital with responsibilities for its private equity, directional credit and long/short equity investments in the energy industry. Mr. Hulme’s focused on the firm's strategy, internal process, and talent management. Upon assuming his duties at Parallel Resource, he stepped down from his role as Chief Executive Officer of Carlson Capital and became Vice Chairman. Prior to this, Mr. Hulme was a Senior Partner with McKinsey & Co. During his 26-year career at McKinsey, he played an active and formative role in the Firm's management and governance and led or co-led several of McKinsey's practice groups including the Global Strategy Practice, Co-Founder of the Global Corporate Finance Practice, Co-Founder of the Global Risk Practice, the Americas Oil and Gas Practice, and the Americas Chemical Practice, and the Houston Office. Mr. Hulme was also an active leader in McKinsey’s internal governance. He oversaw McKinsey’s six functional practices (approximately 15% of McKinsey’s personnel) as a Member of the Office of the Managing Director. He was a member of McKinsey’s Shareholders Council (McKinsey’s elected Board). Mr. Hulme also served as a member of McKinsey's Office of the Managing Director, where he had oversight responsibility for the Firm's global knowledge efforts and six functional practices (Strategy, Organization, Operations, Marketing, Corporate Finance, and Information Technology), and as Chairman of its Strategy Initiative. He serves as a Director of Red McCombs School of Business. He served as a Director of McKinsey & Company, Inc. He is an active board member of several non-profit organizations including Board President of Texas Children's Hospital Inc., the University of Texas Energy Institute, the Alley Theatre, University of Texas McCombs School of Business, the Energy Management and Innovation Center at the University of Texas, and the Institute for Sustainable Peace. Mr. Hulme holds an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar and a B.B.A. degree from the University of Texas at Austin, where he graduated first in his class.
