Mr. Bruce Stanley Kovner is the Founder of Caxton Alternative Management LP. Mr. Kovner serves as Portfolio Manager of Permal Investment Management Services Limited and Permal Multi-Manager Funds (Lux) - Macro Strategy Fund. Mr. Kovner co- founded Caxton Associates LP in 1983 and served as its Chairman until 2011. He was Founder of GAMut Investments and served as its Chairman. Mr. Kovner co-founded Caxton in 1983. Mr. Kovner serves as the Chairman of CxSynta LLC. He serves as Chairman of the Board of The American Enterprise Institute for Public Policy Research. He serves as the Vice Chairman of Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, Inc. Mr. Kovner has been Director of Synta Pharmaceuticals Corp. since July 2002. He served as Director of Caxton Associates LP until 2011. He served as Director of GAMut Investments. He serves as the Chairman of the American Enterprise Institute and The Juilliard School. Mr. Kovner serves as Vice-Chairman of Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts. He is the Founder and Chairman of the School Choice Scholarships Foundation. Mr. Kovner published articles in Public Interest, Commentary, and New York magazines on public policy, music, and other subjects. He attended public schools in New York City and Los Angeles. He continued his studies at the John F. Kennedy School of Government until 1970 and received his B.A. degree from the Harvard College in 1966.
