Myers is Corporate Vice President, Business Development for Allen Vanguard Corporation, a Canadian leader in the development and provision of security technology solutions for global markets serving border protection and national security solutions for government agencies. Allen Vanguard's product line include a wide range of solutions for the Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosives (CBRNE) world. Prior to joining the Allen Vanguard team, Mr. Myers was Director of Business Development for SRA International in Washington, D.C. SRA is a $1.2 billion provider of security and defence solutions to the U.S. federal government. Previously, Mr. Myers led Galaxy Scientific Canada's business development efforts wherein he expanded the company's core business base to several key client groups and led the successful acquisition of a $12 million contract with Canadian Air Transport Security Authority (CATSA). Myers was also the key driver in the creation of new alliances with colleges and universities in Canada and the U.S. He also led the Company's interests in the start-up and development of the International Security Research and Training Center (ISRTC). Myers spent seven years in Silicon Valley, California creating start-up companies including SourceNet Corporation which transitioned its main service offering, VentureLine, into a successful on-line resource for business and entrepreneurs. VentureLine still operates today under new management. Myers returned to Canada in 1992 to head up a New Market Business Development role for Spar Aerospace Limited. There, he developed new and creative applications for the company's aging military products and technologies. At Spar, Myers developed 2 new product lines for the company: integrated command and control systems; and, aircraft accident investigation and prevention tools. At the same time, Myers successfully implemented a marketing strategy for naval communications in Venezuela resulting in a multi-million dollar contract award against international competition and the establishment of a solid position for subsequent sales in South America. Myers was educated in Ottawa and earned a Master of Arts degree from Carleton University's prestigious Institute for Canadian Studies. He specialized in Law and Journalism which propelled him into an early career in the publishing industry where he authored a school textbook, Living Law, published by McClelland and Stewart, and directed a video called Jury Duty which was produced by the National Film Board of Canada. Mr. Myers serves on the Board of Directors of the International Security Research and Training Center, is an International Advisor to the Canadian Advanced Technology Alliance (CATA), and is an Advisory Board member of the Emergency Management Training Center of Northern New York.
