Mr. Todd R. Wagner Co-Founded 2929 Entertainment in 2000 and serves as its Co-Owner and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Wagner created 2929 Entertainment to leverage his expertise in digital technology and his passion for the entertainment business. He serves as the Chief Executive Officer of American Film Institute. He Co-founded 2929 Productions in 2003 and serves as its Co-owner. In 2000, he founded the Todd Wagner Foundation, Inc. and serves as its Chief Executive Officer. ... He Co-founded Yahoo! Broadcast (Formerly broadcast.com) in September 1995, and served as its Chief Executive Officer and Secretary since May 19, 1995. As Chief Executive Officer, he led Yahoo! Broadcast to becoming the leading destination for audio and video programming on the Internet. After Broadcast.com was acquired by Yahoo!, he led the division as Yahoo! Broadcast until May 2000. He was the driving visionary behind important films such as the Oscar®-nominated Good Night, and Good Luck and Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room, as well as Akeelah and the Bee and The Road (November 2009). Prior to Broadcast.com, he had a successful legal career with the national firms of Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld. He was also associated with The Law Firm of Hopkins & Sutter from 1989 to 1994 and served as its Partner from 1992 to 1994. He is also a significant investor in HDNet. Mr. Wagner Co-launched HDNet Films to finance and produce smaller budget films shot exclusively in high-definition and distribute them on HDNet, in theaters and on video. Mr. Wagner also owns minority stakes in Lions Gate Entertainment and The Weinstein Company, and invested in Canadian film and television company Peace Arch Entertainment. Mr. Wagner has dynamic blend of entrepreneurial spirit, business expertise and philanthropic commitment. He serves as Co-Chairman and Founder of Content Partners LLC. He served as the Vice Chairman of Yahoo! Broadcast since May 19, 1995. He serves on the National Board of Directors of the After-School All-Stars (formerly Inner-City Games). He serves as a Trustee of the American Film Institute and the Tribeca Film Institute. He served as a Director of Yahoo! Broadcast from May 19, 1995 to 2000. He has delivered speeches at dozens of business and technology conferences, has appeared on CNBC, CNN and CSPAN and has been featured in leading publications including the Wall Street Journal, Forbes and the New York Times. In July 2001, he launched the All-Stars program in Dallas. In conjunction with After-School All-Stars, he is also developing the breakthrough MIRACLES program. He produced the critically acclaimed drama Akeelah and the Bee. Among numerous awards and honors, he is the recipient of the national First Star Visionary Award, Dallas CASA Champion of Children Award, Dallas Film Festival Trailblazer Award and national Kappa Sigma Man of the Year award in 2000. He was named 2002 Social Entrepreneur of the Year by the Center for Nonprofit Management. Mr. Wagner holds a B.S. in Accounting from Indiana University and a JD from The University of Virginia School of Law and a Certified Public Accountant since April 1988.
