Background

Mr. Patrick P. Leong co-founded Gigamon LLC in 2004 and has been its Chief Technology Officer since October 2005. Mr. Leong is a Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Gigamon Systems LLC and serves as its Chief Technology Officer. Mr. Leong is the key designer of multiple successful telecom and network analyzer products that have generated substantial revenues over the years. Prior to Gigamon, he served as a Principal Engineer at Ciena from March 2001 to August 2004, where ... he led the engineering efforts in developing its metro data products. Mr. Leong also performed technical due diligence for Ciena in acquisition and partnering. He joined Ciena in March 2001. He served as a Principal Engineer at Cyras Systems, Inc. since August 2000. From December 1996 to July 2000, Mr. Leong served in various roles, including Manager of high speed products, at the Sniffer Division of McAfee, Inc. At McAfee, he was In Charge of the development of WAN and Gigabit Ethernet Sniffers. He has been a Director at Gigamon LLC since 2004. A Physicist by training, Mr. Leong understands a broad range of technologies and has a track record of taking products from inception to market in a timely manner. He is an Inventor of multiple patents. Mr. Leong holds a Ph.D. in Applied Physics from Columbia University. Mr. Leong holds a B.S. degree in Physics from John Carroll University and an M.S. degree in Computer Science from the University of New Mexico.
