Dr. Alvaro Saieh Bendeck, PhD serves as the President of Infisa SA and Compañía de Seguros CorpVida S.A. Dr. Bendeck serves as the Chief Executive Officer at Consorcio Periodístico de Chile S.A. He is a Founder of Corp Group Banking S.A. and serves as its President. He has been involved in a number of different financial activities in the development of the Chilean financial and real estate sector. He was in charge of the former Banco Osorno prior to its sale to Banco ... Santander. From 1976 to 1978, he headed ESCOLATINA. He serves as the Chairman of the Board of SMU S.A., Consorcio Periodístico de Chile S.A. and Corp Group Interhold S.A. He served as Chairman of CorpBanca S.A from October 15, 2009 to February 2012 and served as its Director since June 18, 1996. Dr. Bendeck also served as Vice Chairman of the Board of AFP Provida. Dr. Bendeck served as Director of the Chilean Banking Association and Peru’s Interbanc and as an Advisor to the Central Bank of Chile, the Ministry of Public Works and the Ministry of Housing and Urbanism. He served as Vice Chairman of Corpbanca S.A. since June 18, 1996. Dr. Bendeck has been a Director of Santiago Stock Exchange since April 27, 1995 and serves as Director of VidaCorp Life Insurance Company. Dr. Bendeck is a Member of the Latin American Advisory Board of JER Partners L.L.C. During his life, he has maintained a close relationship with the University of Chile, where he was the Dean of the School of Economics and Business from 1979 to 1980 and Provost from 1980 to 1981. Dr. Bendeck was also the Chairman of the Academic Evaluation Committee of the School of Economics and Business and the Chairman of the Money and Finance Studies Foundation of the same school in 1984 to 1985. In 2005, he was bestowed the title of a Professor Emeritus at the University of Chile in honor of his 35 years of commitment to the University. Dr. Bendeck is the author of numerous financial and economic publications. As one of the leading and most influential individuals in Chile, he has received numerous awards and acknowledgements for his contributions to Chilean business activities and the development of the country. Dr. Bendeck is a Commercial Engineer and a graduate of University of Chile. He holds a BA in Business and Administration from Universidad de Santiago de Chile and Master of Arts from University of Chicago. In 1973, Dr. Bendeck obtained a PhD in Economics from the University of Chicago.
