Mr. Michael E. Tennenbaum is a Senior Managing Partner of Tennenbaum Capital Partners, LLC (TCP). Mr. Tennenbaum was Wall Street executive where he managed various departments of a major investment bank including Investment Banking, Risk Arbitrage and Options Departments. He has served for 32 years in various capacities at Bear, Stearns & Co., Inc. including Vice Chairman of Investment Banking. Mr. Tennenbaums’ responsibilities at Bear, Stearns & Co., Inc included managing ... its Risk Arbitrage Department, Investment Research Department, Options Department, and the Los Angeles Corporate Finance Department. From February 1993 to June 1996, he served as a Senior Managing Director at Bear, Stearns & Co., Inc. Mr. Tennenbaum has been the Chairman of the Board of Pemco Aviation Group Inc. since 1999. He has been Chairman of the Board of Anacomp Inc. since March 17, 2004 and as its Director since February 2003. Mr. Tennenbaum serves as the Chairman of WinCup, Inc. He served as Chairman of Alabama Aircraft Industries, Inc., from 1999 to December 31, 2009. He has been Vice Chairman of the Board of Party City Corporation since October 1, 2002 and Director since October 5, 2000. He has been Independent Director of Kaiser Group Holdings Inc., since December 7, 2009. He has been Director of Special Value Expansion Fund L.P.(Tennenbaum Capital Partners) since 2004. Mr. Tennenbaum served on the Board of Directors of Arden Group Inc., Alabama Aircraft Industries, Inc., Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc., Jenny Craig Inc., Sun Gro Horticulture Inc., and Tosco Corporation. He serves as a Director of KCET. He served as the Chairman of the California High-Speed Rail Authority. Mr. Tennenbaum serves as a Vice Chairman and Member of Board of Governors of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Mr. Tennenbaum serves as a Board Member for The RAND Center for Asia Pacific Policy, and the Smithsonian Institution National, and Founder of the Tennenbaum Marine Observatories. Mr. Tennenbaum is a member of the Secretary of the Navy Advisory Panel. He serves as a Director of the Los Angeles World Affairs Council and its Treasurer. He is a Member of the UCLA School of Medicine Board of Visitors and a Member of the Los Angeles Philharmonic Board of Overseers. In addition, he served as a Member of the National Advisory Board of Georgia Tech and as a Trustee of the Georgia Institute of Technology Foundation, Inc. and is Trustee Emeritus. Mr. Tennenbaum is a Founder of the Tennenbaum Institute for Enterprise Transformation at the Georgia Tech School of Industrial and Systems Engineering. He is also a member of the UCLA School of Medicine Board of Visitors, Founder of the Tennenbaum Interdisciplinary Center at the Neuropsychiatric Institute at UCLA, and of the Michael E. Tennenbaum Family Endowed Chair in Creativity Research. He was a Member of the Harvard Business School Board of Associates and Commissioner on the Intercity High-Speed Rail Commission for California and was Chairman of the California High-Speed Rail Authority. Mr. Tennenbaum served as the member of the Board of Associates of Harvard Business School. He is a member of the Academy of Distinguished Engineering Alumni of Georgia Tech's College of Engineering and Founder of the Tennenbaum Institute for Enterprise Transformation at the Georgia Tech School of Industrial and Systems Engineering. He received the Department of Defense Distinguished Civilian Service Award Mr. Tennenbaum received an M.B.A., with honors, from Harvard Business School and a B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
