Dr. Ross A. Bott, Ph.D. has been the Chief Executive Officer and President of Seven Networks, Inc. since 2006. Dr. Bott has been a Venture Partner and Consultant for Redpoint Ventures since March 2001. He serves as Venture Partner at Redpoint Ventures II, L.P., Redpoint Ventures III, L.P., Redpoint Ventures IV, L.P. Prior to joining ... Redpoint Ventures in March 2001, he served as Chief Operating Officer of Openwave Systems Inc. Formerly, Dr. Bott served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Graphics Division, responsible for its core graphics business, which includes flagship products Adobe Photoshop(R), Adobe Illustrator(R) and Adobe PageMaker(R). Prior to Adobe, Dr. Bott served in various capacities at Graphics Properties Holdings, Inc (also known as Silicon Graphics) from May 1993 to December 1996, including as Senior Vice President of Enterprise Technologies, and also founded their Commercial Server Division. Before Silicon Graphics, he served as Chief Technology Officer and Vice President of Advanced Development at Pyramid Technology Corp., of San Jose, Calif., managing its advanced development organization, from March 1982 to May 1993, where he was responsible for the invention and design of Pyramid's massively parallel computer. During his 11-year tenure with Pyramid Technology, Dr. Bott held senior management positions in a variety of areas spanning engineering, marketing, sales and corporate strategy. He served as a Computer Scientist with Xerox Palo Alto Research Corporation for four years before joining Pyramid Technology. He served as a Member of the team that designed Xerox's STAR workstation, the precursor to the Apple Macintosh. Dr. Bott served as Chairman of the Board of Movaris, Inc. He serves as Director of Visual Wireless, Swype Inc and Azul Systems, Inc. He serves as Director of NanoMuscle, Inc. Dr. Bott has been a Director of Seven Networks, Inc. since February 2003, iGo Corporation since June 2000 and of FlashPoint Technology, Inc. since May 2005. He served as Director of Mobilaris AB. He served as Director of Digital Fuel Inc. and Movaris, Inc. He holds a patent in data mining. Dr. Bott holds a B.S. degree in Mathematics from Stanford University and a Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence and Cognitive Science from the University of California, San Diego.
