Background

Mr. Edward W. Scott, Jr. served as an Executive Vice President in charge of Worldwide Sales and Marketing of Pyramid Technology Corp., from September 1990 to April 1995. Mr. Scott founded Sun Microsystems' federal division, Sun Federal and co-founded BEA Systems, Inc., with two other individuals in 1995. He founded Center for Global Development (CGD) in 2001. He served as an Executive Vice President for BEA's Worldwide Field Operations from April 1995 to September 1999, ... where he supervised it's Sales, Marketing and Services Operations. He served as an Executive in the U.S. Federal Government for 17 years. In his last two Government Assignments, he served as Deputy Assistant Attorney General in the U.S. Department of Justice and as an Assistant Secretary for Administration in the U.S. Department of Transportation. He served as the Chairman of the Indian River Brewing Company and is a Member of the Board of StubHub, Inc. and Florida Institute of Technology. He also owns and operates the Kiwi Tennis Club in Indian Harbour Beach, Florida. He has been a Director of BEA Systems Inc., since February 2000. He serves as a Director of Stitcher, Inc., Malaria No More, Voxiva, Inc. and Viewlocity Inc. Mr. Scott has a B.A. in Communication Arts and an M.A. in Political Science from Michigan State University, and a B.A. in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Oxford University in England.
