Mr. Gilles V. J. Pajot served as Executive Vice President of IMS Health Inc. since November 2000 and also served as its Chief Operating Officer from January 24, 2007 to October 1, 2009. Mr. Pajot was also responsible for IMS operations in more than 100 countries, focused on enhancing its worldwide client relations and supporting the pharmaceutical industry's growing demand for more complex and diverse global healthcare information. He served as President for Global Business ... Management of IMS Health Inc. since January 23, 2006 until January 2007 and its President for EMEA from November 2000 to January 23, 2006. He served as President for IMS European Region of IMS Health Inc. Mr. Pajot joined IMS Health Inc. in December, 1997. From November, 1995 to July, 1997, he served as Senior Vice President of Pharmacia & Upjohn's Europe, Middle East and Africa Region. In more than 23 years at Pharmacia AB, Mr. Pajot held positions of increasing responsibility, which included running Pharmacia and Procordia subsidiaries in France from 1979 to 1990, and served as Chief Executive Officer and President of global Pharmacia Biosystems AB from December 1990 to July 1991. From July 1991 to September 1993, Mr. Pajot served as Executive Vice President of Kabi Pharmacia AB, and since September 1993, he served as Group Vice President of Pharmacia AB in Sweden. In that position, he headed Corporate Business Management with responsibility for strategic planning, business development, marketing and branding initiatives. He served as an Executive Vice President for Worldwide Pharmacia AB from September, 1994 to November, 1995. He also served as the Chairman of Pharmacia Ophthalmology AB and Pharmacia Diagnostics AB. He has been Vice Chairman of IMS Health Inc. since October 10, 2009. Mr. Pajot holds a Master's in Biochemistry and Chemistry from Rennes University and a BSc. Degree from Nantes University.
