From 1993 to August 1997, he served ... as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Scotgen Biopharmaceuticals, Inc. From 1990 to 1993, he served as an Independent Consultant in the biopharmaceutical industry. Dr. Fildes served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Cetus Corporation from 1982 to 1990. Under Dr. Fildes leadership, this organisation grew from a small research boutique into a focussed international biopharmaceutical company employing over 1,000 people with skills and facilities to discover, develop, manufacture and sell therapeutic products for human treatment. He was the Founder and President of Biogen, Inc., and from 1980 to 1982, he served as its President. He served as a Vice President of Operations for the Industrial Division of Bristol-Myers Squibb Company from 1975 to 1980. As such, he was responsible for managing a global staff of 2,000 engaged in the technical development and commercial manufacture of a wide range of drug products. Dr. Fildes serves as the Chairman of Inimex Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and Twinstrand Therapeutics Inc. He served as a Director of La Jolla Pharmaceutical Co. since 1991 untill January 19, 2012. He has been a Director of Vaxart, Inc., since March 2008. He serves as a Member of Advisory Board of Haywood Life Sciences Limited Partnership I.
