Dr. J. Christopher Post, MD, PhD, FACS serves as President of Allegheny-Singer Research Institute at West Penn Allegheny Health System, Inc. Dr. Post serves as a Member of Scientific Advisory Board of iNetworks, LLC. Dr. Post serves as Member of Advisory Board at iNetworks BioOpportunity Fund, L.P. and Otonomy, Inc. With over 15 years of experience, he is a nationally renowned pediatric ear, nose and throat specialist who offers a unique personal and caring approach ... in providing patient care. Dr. Post has served as the Principal Investigator for numerous research studies throughout his career and has delivered more than 100 national and international presentations relative to his pediatric otolaryngology specialty and research. He is the President and Scientific Director at Allegheny Singer Research Institute. Dr. Post has served as Chairman on the Research Grants and Prizes subcommittee and serves as Chair of the Infectious Disease Committee for the American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery. He is also a Colonel in the United States Reserves and was the Commander of the Unite States Army Hospital in Bagram, Afghanistan from June 2012 to December 2002. Dr. Post is the recipient of the 2001 Edmund Fowler Award from the American Laryngological, Rhinological and Otological Society, given in recognition of his excellence in basic research in otolaryngology. He has been recognized since 1999 in "The Best Doctors in America" guide and has received the American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery's prestigious Honor Award. He was a Pediatric resident at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, completed an otolaryngology residency at UF, and a pediatric otolaryngology fellowship at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. He is the Army Reserve Otolaryngology Consultant to the Army Surgeon General. Dr. Post received a Ph.D., M.D., and his Diplomate Status and Fellowship in Health Care Administration from the American Academy of Medical Administrators. Dr. Post received his undergraduate and MD degree from the University of Florida and PhD in Human Genetics from the Graduate School of Public Health, University of Pittsburgh.
