Background

Ms. Kara L. Bue serves as the President of Key Bridge, Inc. Ms. Bue is a Founding Partner of Armitage International, LLC. Previously, Ms. Bue served as the Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Regional Stability within the Bureau of Political-Military Affairs (PM). Prior to her position within PM, she served for nearly two years as Special Assistant to former Deputy Secretary of State Richard L. Armitage. Ms. Bue advised the Deputy Secretary on international security, ... counter terrorism, and South Asia matters. Before her federal service, she was a Corporate and Securities Lawyer, with a specialty in financial services law. As an adjunct to her law practice, she participated, on a pro bono basis, in studies sponsored by the Center for Strategic and International Studies on the legal aspects of homeland defense. Ms. Bue serves as an Independent Director of National Interests Security Company L.LC. She serves as a Member of The Board of Directors at Kaseman, LLC. Ms. Bue serves as a Director of Freedom Fields USA, the Board of Advisors of the Center for Civil-Military Relations (CCMR) at the Naval Postgraduate School and teaches courses on civil-military relations. Ms. Bue also serves as the Military Outreach Fellow for the Center for U.S. Global Engagement. She is admitted to practice law in California and the District of Columbia. Ms. Bue holds a AB degree from the Brown University in 1986 and a JD degree from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles in 1993.
