Background

Mr. John L. Nau, III has been the President of Silver Eagle Distributors, Inc. since 1990 and serves as its Chief Executive Officer. Under his leadership, Silver Eagle Distributors has become one of the nation's largest distributors of Anheuser-Busch products and he is responsible for distribution of all Anheuser-Busch products in the Greater Houston region. He serves as Chairman Emeritus of Civil War Trust and has been its Director since 1998. Mr. Nau serves as a Director ... at Greater Houston Partnership. He is an advisory board member for the Greater Houston Preservation Alliance. He serves on the executive committee of the National Capital Campaign of the University of Virginia and as Chairman of the College of Arts and Sciences campaign. He served at Texas Historical Commission since 1993. In January 1995, he was elected chairman and was reappointed to the commission in 1999 by then-Gov. George W. Bush. He also serves on the Texas State History Museum Advisory Committee and on the board of the Downtown Historic District. Mr. Nau is a graduate from the University of Virginia with a bachelor’s degree in history.
