Background

Mr. Jake Seid has been Co-President of Auction.com, LLC since April 2013. Mr. Seid served as an Investment Professional of Lightspeed-Gemini Internet Lab. Mr. Seid served as Managing Director at Lightspeed Venture Partners I, L.P., Lightspeed Venture Partners, Lightspeed Venture Partners VI, L.P. and Lightspeed Venture Partners VII, L.P. Mr. Seid focused on investments in mobile, Internet, systems, software, and components. He has over eight years of venture capital ... experience and has worked on more than 15 completed investments for Auction.com, LLC in across mobile, internet, systems, software and components. Mr. Seid also co-leaded Lightspeed's India initiative. Previously, he was a Product Line Manager at Cisco Systems. He was with Cisco's cable business unit, as it grew from a $1 million to $1 billion annual revenue business. Mr. Seid was responsible for launching and managing the industry's first DOCSIS-based cable modems and routers and led his product to win “Best of Show“ and “Best Networking Hardware“ at Comdex’99. Previously, he was employed in business development at Boston Technology (Comverse). He serves as Director of Teknovus, Inc. and IceBreaker, Inc. He serves as Director of Four Interactive Private Limited. Mr. Seid serves as a Member of the Board of Directors of MIT-Stanford Venture Lab, a Member of the Advisory Board of Nexus India Capital, a Member of the Venture Capital Advisory Board of the Fabless Semiconductor Association, and a Member of the Board of Directors of Skyfire Labs, Inc. At MIT, he earned the Karl Taylor Compton Prize. Mr. Seid holds an M.Eng. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from MIT and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering.
