Mr. Charles J. Morton, Jr. is a Partner at Venable Baetjer and Howard LLP. Mr. Morton serves as a Director of Association for Corporate Growth. He also serves as a Professor in the MBA program at Johns Hopkins University, as a Vice President of the Association for Corporate Growth, and on the Advisory Board of the Small Business Development Centers of Maryland. Mr. Morton is a member of the American Bar Association, for which he serves as Chair of its Intellectual Property Committee of the Torts and Insurance Practice Section. He is also a member of the Maryland State Bar Association, Business Law Section, Emerging Business Committee and Intellectual Property Committee. Mr. Morton is very active in the Bar Association of Baltimore City where he is Chair of the Technology Committee and a Member of the Executive Council. He also recently Chaired a business plan competition for the Greater Baltimore Technology Council known as the Mosh Pit, for which he was recognized as one of the “Innovators of the Year in 2002“ by The Daily Record. Mr. Morton was also recognized in 2002 by the Baltimore Business Journal as one of “40 Under 40.“ He is a prolific speaker. He speaks regularly on issues facing growing businesses before a wide range of groups, including the American and Maryland State Bar Associations, The Harmonie Group (a national consortium of insurance defense lawyers), Small Business Development Centers, Council of Consulting Engineers of Maryland, the Maryland Association of Nonprofit Organizations, and the Wealth Institute. He completed J.D. from University of Maryland School of Law and holds a B.A. with Honors from University of Vermont.
