Mr. Usdan was the President and Chief Executive Officer at Vision Care Holdings, LLC from November 2003 till 2005. Under his leadership, the firm made the transition from founder management to professional leadership and he led the company to a positive revenue and EBITDA growth trajectory. Mr. Usdan served as President, Director, and Chief Executive Officer at Castle Dental Centers Inc., from July 2001 to June 16, 2003. At the time he became the Chief Executive Officer, the company was in breach of its bank covenants on over $70 million in senior debt and was about to be delisted by the NASDAQ. Within two years, Mr. Usdan implemented cost reductions that rationalized the business, accomplished a refinancing to restore solvency, maintained a NASDAQ listing, and engineered the successful three-way merger with two of Castle's large competitors creating the largest dental practice management chain in the United States. From 1998 to 2001, he served as the President and Chief Executive Officer at NextCARE Hospitals Inc. Under Mr. Usdan’s leadership, revenues grew from an annual run rate of $4 million to $8 million and the company was successfully sold to a competitor. From 1990 to 1998, he served as the President and Chief Executive Officer at RehabCare Group Inc. and also was its Director from 1990 to 1998. Prior to this, Mr. Usdan was a Founder and served as the President and Chief Executive Officer at American Transitional Care, Inc. from 1987 to 1990. During 1986 and 1987, he served as an Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Rehab Hospital Services Corp. Mr. Usdan’s subsidiary earned $20 million and $24 million annually in the two years of his leadership while adding 18 new hospitals to the asset base. Since 2006, he has served as a Director of Directors of HCCA International, Inc. Mr. Usdan has served on ten Boards of Directors including nine healthcare companies. He serves on the Board of Maryville College and on the Advisory Board of Harvard School of Public Health. Mr. Usdan holds a B.A. from Harvard College.
