Mr. Sergio Monsalve is a Partner of Northwest Venture Partners. Mr. Monsalve focuses is on early and growth stage investments in the digital media, mobile and social sectors. ... and Mexico. Prior to this, Mr. Monsalve was an Entrepreneur-In-Residence at Trinity Ventures and co-invested in companies and assisted entrepreneurs in the consumer Internet and software sectors. In addition, he has helped with the founding and business definition of several high-technology startups. Mr. Monsalve was the first Business Executive and Vice President of Product Marketing at Photobucket, Inc. From 2001 to 2005, he served as a Director and General Manager of the Consumer Electronics Division and Director of Marketing & Business Development at eBay, Inc., which he grew from $150 million to more than $500 million in gross merchandise sales. Mr. Monsalve was responsible for launching several successful products and services including catalogs via a partnership with CNet. He also served as a Director of New Ventures at eBay, where he pioneered several new marketplaces and initiatives. Mr. Monsalve was the Co-Founder of Cymerc Exchange, Inc. and served as First Business Development and Sales and Marketing Executive. Mr. Monsalve served as Marketing and Business Development Manager at Portal Software and helped with its expansion and development of new markets. Prior to this, he worked at Siebel Systems and helped define several e-commerce product functions. Mr. Monsalve has also worked in a variety of roles at various business software and services companies. He began his career as an Investment Banker at Morgan Stanley and advised several private and public companies on mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Monsalve has been a Director of Insider Guides, Inc. since 30 July, 2008. He serves on the Board of Advisors of several business and consumer technology companies. Mr. Monsalve serves as a Director and Member of Advisory Board at Adzilla. He serves as a Director of Motif Investing Inc., myYearbook, Branchout, BookRenter and Center'd Corporation. He has been a Director of Motif Investing Inc since July 7, 2011 and Adaptive Planning, Inc. since March 2012. He is a Board Observer and is involved with Lending Club. Mr. Monsalve is also a Board Observer at StarCite. He is a Director of M-Factor and joined as a Director of Adaptive Planning as on March 14, 2012. He served as Director of Gemvara, Inc. Mr. Monsalve served as a Member of Advisory Board at Navio Systems Inc. since April 2006. He was a Director of Dealmap. He is an Officer of the Harvard Business School Tech Club, which he helped start and grow to one of the largest alumni networking organizations in the country. He serves as Director of Rafter, Inc. Mr. Monsalve holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.Sc. in Management Sciences and Engineering, with a focus on Industrial Engineering from Stanford University.
