He also serves as the Director at Social Programming Network, Inc. He is the Chairman of BlackJet. Mr. Pishevar has been a Director of Machine Zone, Inc. since March 27, 2012. He is a leading SAAS provider for small businesses. His research accomplishments include co-authoring a seminal article in JAMA. He is a member of the UN Foundation's Global Entrepreneurs Council and President Obama's Summit on Entrepreneurship. Mr. Pishevar independently invented a patented new method for lysing Malaria-infected erythrocytes while an undergraduate at UC-Berkeley along with three other allowed patents. His malaria research was a continuation of his high school research project on the magainin peptide. His published research with peer-reviewed articles published includes his JAMA article along with an article in Neuroscience Letters when he was 19 years old linking glucocorticoids treatments to seizures. Mr. Pishevar's patents are in such fields such as distributed computing, dynamic replication of applications, data and servers and collective commerce. He serves as an Advisor of Fotomoto, Inc. Mr. Pishevar was a Presidential Fellow at the University of California at Berkeley, IRTA Fellow at the National Institutes of Health and Summer Research Fellow at M.D. Anderson Cancer Research Center. He also founded and was the Editor-in-Chief of Berkeley Scientific and recruited a premier editorial board including Nobel Laureate Glenn Seaborg. He served as Vice President Pro Tempore of the Montgomery County Board of Education (Maryland). He was chosen by the US Government as an Outstanding American by Choice - one of only 100 naturalized Americans to be chosen since the beginning of the award. Mr. Pishevar was interviewed numerous times on National Television shows like Powerlunch on CNBC and Fox News seeking his opinion on such topics as the Microsoft case, the internet and distributed computing. He has also been featured or interviewed in the Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, New York Times, Washington Post, LA Times and Newsweek. Mr. Pishevar was named “Bill Gates' Worst Nightmare” by the Financial Times. He received his B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of California at Berkeley and completed over a year of graduate course work in Health Economics and Molecular Cellular Biology/Cellular Biology at the University of California at Berkeley School of Public Health with a 4.0 GPA and also pursued a degree in Molecular Cellular Biology.
