Mr. Hobby has built a quality portfolio of new and traditional media investments and has provided strategic consulting services to several traditional media companies that wish to transition towards new media. Since then, he has built a quality portfolio of active investments through Genesis Park LP and Genesis Park Development. Mr. Hobby served as a Consultant at CinemaStar Luxury Theaters until 2000 and also served as its Co-Chief Executive Officer. He served as a Principal at H & C Communications until the group of television and radio stations was sold in 1994 and served as a Vice President until December 31, 1996 and also served as a Consultant and Interim Director from 1999 to 2000. He served as the Chief of Staff for Lieutenant Governor Bob Bullock and was the former Assistant to the United States Attorney for the Southern District of Texas from 1989 to 1992. He grew up in traditional media businesses, working in and around radio, newspaper and television operations. He serves as the Chairman of Alpheus Communications, L.P. Mr. Hobby has been Chairman of Genesis Park since its founding in 2000. He serves as the Chairman of the Houston Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas since 2011 and has been its Director since 2009. He has been a Director of NRG Energy, Inc since March 8, 2006. Mr. Hobby was a Deputy Chair of the Houston Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas. He serves as Member of Board of Advisors of CODA Automotive, Inc. He served as a Director of Stewart Information Services Corp. since 1989. Mr. Hobby has served on a number of the board of a number of leading public and private companies including Eagle Global, EGL Worldwide (EGL Inc), and BASE Entertainment others for over 20 years. He served as Director of Texas Genco LLC since January 2006. He served as Director of Amegy Corporation and Amegy Bank National Association from 2002 to 2008. Until February 2006, Mr. Hobby served as the Chairman of Harris CapRock Communications. He served as a Director of Coastal Bancorp, Inc. and Propaganda Films, Inc. since 1999 and 2001 and of Aronex Pharmaceuticals, Inc. since March 1999. Mr. Hobby served as Director of Amegy Bank of Texas until 2008 and the Board of CEVA Logistics when it was acquired in 2007. He served as Director of CEVA Freight, LLC from November 2001 to 2007. He served as Director of CinemaStar Luxury Theaters Inc. from October 1999 to 2000. He serves on the Board of Directors of various civic, charitable, and professional associations. Mr. Hobby serves as a Member of the University of the Texas Development Board and Member of the Board of Trustees of College of Arts and Sciences, University of Virginia. He has been the Chairman of the Texas General Services Commission, The Texas Business Hall of Fame, and held a number of other community leadership positions over time. Mr. Hobby has been a guest Lecturer at the Stanford University Graduate School of Business. His other present and former Board relationships include St. John's School; University of Texas Chancellors Council; Baylor College of Medicine; River Oaks Property Owners Association; Hermann Hospital; Covenant House Texas; and The Urban League-Houston. He holds a J.D. from the University of Texas School of Lawa, where he has been honored as an outstanding young alumnus. Mr. Hobby received a B.A. from the University of Virginia.
