Dr. Murray L. Weidenbaum is an Economic Advisor, Partner, Principal, and Member of Advisory Board at Cortland Associates, Inc. He is currently a Member of Advisory Board since 1984 and board member of Harbour Group. Dr. Weidenbaum is a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. From January 1981 to August 1982, he chaired President Reagan's Council of Economic Advisors. Dr. Weidenbaum has served in the past on the boards of Beatrice Food, Contel, May Department ... Stores, Medicine Shoppe, and Tesoro Petroleum. He is one of America's most widely publicized economists. Dr. Weidenbaum has written nine books and numerous articles for such major publications as Fortune and The Wall Street Journal. He holds the Mallinckrodt Distinguished University Professorship at Washington University, where he also serves as honorary chairman of the Weidenbaum Center on the Economy, Government, and Public Policy. Dr. Weidenbaum has earned a Ph.D. from Princeton University and an M.A. from Columbia University. He is a graduate of the City College of New York.
