Mr. Lawrence D. Schlang, Larry is a Founder of Bantu, Inc. and serves as its President and Chief Executive Officer. Prior to Bantu, Mr. Schlang served as Vice President of Operations and then President of Bantu's predecessor company, IntraACTIVE, Inc. Under his guidance, IntraACTIVE was one of the first players in the Web collaboration and applications service provider markets. Before joining IntraACTIVE, he served as Vice President and General Counsel for National Strategies ... Inc. where he handled various telecommunications and wireless issues at the Washington-based telecommunications consulting firm. He drives Bantu's strategic planning and direction and oversees Bantu’s partnerships to ensure that continues to develop as one of today’s premier providers of Web-based instant communications tools. A corporate visionary, Mr. Schlang has gained a vast knowledge of what it takes to build a high tech company in the new economy. Mr. Schlang was responsible for handling legal matters, partnerships and strategic relationships. Under his leadership IntraACTIVE recently sold InTandem to Mail.com. Prior to working in the telecommunications industry, he practiced law at Shea & Gould, where he focused on commercial and securities law and litigation. As an industry thought leader, Mr. Schlang often presents at shows and conventions including Internet World, CTIA’s Global Wireless 2001, Pulver.com events and CommNet. He serves as Director of Bantu, Inc. He was instrumental in selling IntraACTIVE's groundbreaking and award winning Web groupware product, InTandem, to small and large companies, including Marriott, Ameritech, and SAIC. He received a bachelor’s degree in Social and Political Thought from the University of Virginia and a law degree from George Washington University.
