Background

Mr. Foster Stephen Friess is the Founder and Chairman of Friess Associates, LLC. He founded the firm in 1974. Previously, Mr. Friess served as the Director of Research of Brittingham, Inc. Prior to that, he served in the U.S. Army Intelligence for two years. Mr. Friess is the President of the Brandywine Funds. He is also the President of the Lynn and Foster Friess Family Foundation. Mr. Friess has served on many boards, including the Advisory Council of the Royal Swedish ... Academy of Sciences, The Bank of Delaware, the Center for Humility Theology of the John M. Templeton Foundation, and the council for National Policy. He has been featured in several books, a PBS special hosted by Andrew Tobias, on CNBC's Street Signs with Ron Insana and has been quoted in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, and most major financial publications in the United States. Mr. Friess was the first recipient of the Muhammad Ali Award for Humanitarianism and has received honorary doctorate degrees from the Regent University and Goldey Beacom College. He obtained a C.F.A. designation from the AIMR. Mr. Friess received a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin at Madison and studied International Economics at the University of Oslo.
