Dr. Robert S. Epstein, Rob, M.D., M.S. served as the President of United BioSource Corporation at Medco Health Solutions, Inc. since September 2011. Dr. Epstein served as the President of Advanced Clinical Science & Research and Chief Clinical Research & Development Officer at Medco Health Solutions, Inc. from December 2010 to 2012. He served as Senior Vice President of Medical Affairs Officer and Chief Medical Officer at Merck-Medco Managed Care LLC since August 1996. ... Dr. Epstein led Merck-Medco Managed Care LLC's departments of clinical analysis and outcomes research, medical programs and policies, clinical practices and therapeutics, the institute for effectiveness research, health information management department and scientific affairs. He served as Senior Vice President of Medical & Analytical Affairs since 1997. He served as the President and Chief Medical officer of Medco Research Institute L.L.C since December 2009. He serves as a Director of On-Q-ity Inc. He has been a Director of AVEO Pharmaceuticals, Inc. since December 31, 2012. Dr. Epstein serves as a Member of Advisory Board at California State Teachers Employees' Retirement System. He has been a Director of Illumina Inc. since November 2012. Dr. Epstein serves on the board of Federal CDC EGAPP (Evaluation of Genomic Applications in Practice & Prevention) Stakeholder Committee and the AHRQ CERT (Centers for Education and Research on Therapeutics) Committee. He has published more than 50 peer-reviewed medical articles and book chapters, and serves as a reviewer for several influential medical journals. Dr. Epstein holds a B.S. and an M.D. from the University of Michigan and an M.S. from the University of Maryland.
