Background

Mr. Jason E. Green serves as a General Partner and Partner at Emergence Capital Partners. Mr. Green also co-founded the firm. Mr. Green has over 15 years of experience in the venture capital business. Prior to his work at Emergence, he spent six years as a General Partner at U.S. Venture Partners. He was responsible for USVP's investment in Ask Jeeves (ASKJ). He joined USVP from Venrock Associates in 1997 and focused on enterprise software and Internet infrastructure ... services. Prior to USVP, Mr. Green completed a two-year program as a Ewing Marion Kauffman Fellow at Venrock Associates and was responsible for such investments as Visual Networks (VNWK), WhoWhere, and AdOne Classified and involved with companies such as Doubleclick (DCLK), Digex, and NetObjects (NETO). Mr. Green was also involved with investment in aQuantive (AQNT). He worked as an Associate and Kauffman Fellow with Venrock. Earlier in his career, Mr. Green served as Vice President at Muzertechnika and negotiated a strategic joint venture and investment from IBM and helped establish one of the first regional telecommunication companies. Prior to this, he served as a Strategic Consultant at Bain and Company and helped define and implement strategic initiatives for Fortune 500 companies. He also worked briefly at Welsh, Carson, Anderson and Stowe. Mr. Green currently serves on the Board of Directors of Yammer, Inc., AvenueA (AVEA), InQ Inc., Adapt Technologies Inc., SuccessFactors, Kidzui, Megapath Networks, ServiceMax, Inc., ResponseLogix, xAD, TouchCommerce, and Lotame Solutions Inc. He also serves as a Director at GoodMail Systems Inc. since October 17, 2005. Mr. Green led the firm’s investment in Box.net where he is a Board Observer and also Board Observer at EchoSign, Inc. Mr. Green previously served as a Director of Nightfire Software, Inc, Abilizer Solutions, and CoolBoard.com. He has been a Director of National venture capital Association since April 24, 2012. Mr. Green is the Chairman Emeritus of Center for Venture Education and the Kauffman Fellows Program. He is also on the Advisory Board of Arthur Rock Center of Entrepreneurship at Harvard and a Founding Board member of Endeavor. Mr. Green serves on the board LocalAdXchange. He also served as the Chairman of the West Coast Research Center for Harvard Business School and is on the Global Advisory Board. Mr. Green was awarded the Charles Williams Fellowship at Harvard's Graduate School of Business for post graduate research in Entrepreneurship and Finance. Mr. Green received an M.B.A. with distinction from Harvard and a B.A. in Economics, cum laude, from Dartmouth College.
