Mr. Jerry F. Murdock, Jr. is a Co-Founder, Special Advisor, and Member of Executive Advisory Board at Insight Venture Partners. He was previously a Special Limited Partner and Managing Director of the firm until April 2011. Since the firm’s inception in 1995, Mr. Murdock has played a leading role in defining the firm’s investment strategy and has been primarily responsible for the development of many of the firm’s portfolio investments. He is a is a Co-founder of For ... The Forest. Previously, from 1988 to 1995, Mr. Murdock was the Founder and a Director of the Aspen Technology Group, which he founded in 1987 to provide strategic consultancy services to clients including Warburg Pincus, Andersen Consulting, EDS, TRW Corporation, and numerous high technology companies and private equity investment firms. From 1987 to 1995, he was the President at Aspen Technology Group. From 1989 to 1996, Mr. Murdock was the Managing General Partner of the Aspen Technology Group. He was a Consultant at E.M. Warburg Pincus, from 1989 to 1995. Mr. Murdock worked at the Georgetown Center for Strategic and International Studies, where Mr. Murdock was a contributor to the export competitiveness project. His work was published in The Export Competitive Series: Comparative Analysis of Export Policy, United States, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Canada, and Japan. Mr. Murdock currently serves as a Director of Datacore Software, Teamviewer, Jirbo Inc., Fuze Box, Inc., Shunra Software, Jagex, GFI, Dorado Software, SolarWinds, and Beatport.
