Mr. Andrew J. Filipowski, Flip co-founded SilkRoad Equity LLC and serves as its Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Filipowski Co-Founded in 2003 and serves as its Executive Chairman and Co-Chief Executive Officer. He serves as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of InterAct. He served as the Chief Executive Officer of MissionMode Solutions, Inc. Mr. Filipowski is one of the world's most successful technology entrepreneurs, philanthropists, and industry ... visionaries who built one of the top ten global software companies in record time and devotes all of his expertise, thought leadership and entrepreneurial talent to the portfolio companies of SilkRoad Equity. Previously, he founded Divine Inc. and served as its Chief Executive Officer from 1999 to 2003 and as the President from its inception until October 1999. Mr. Filipowski founded Platinum Venture Partners in 1992 and served as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. He also served as the General Partner at the firm. There Mr. Filipowski funded a number of successful Internet and technology ventures including Whittman-Hart, StarMedia, Yesmail, Blue Rhino, and LiquidAudio. He founded Platinum Technology, Inc. in 1987 and served as the President, Chief Executive Officer, and the Chairman of its Board of Directors from its inception in 1987 until Computer Associates, Inc. acquired it in March 1999. Mr. Filipowski grew it from a start up to the eighth largest software company in the world, reaching $1 billion in revenue before its sale to Computer Associates for $4 billion. In 1979, he founded DBMS, Inc. and served as the President and Chief Executive Officer from 1979 until March of 1987. During this period, DBMS grew from a startup to a major international software enterprise with revenues of $25 million. From May 1974 to March 1979, Mr. Filipowski served as the Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer, and in other executive capacities with Cullinet Software, Inc. Before Cullinet, he served in various managerial and technical positions with A.B. Dick, Motorola, and Time, Inc. He serves as an Executive Chairman of InterAct911 Corporation. Mr. Filipowski co-founded Blue Rhino Corporation in March 1994 and has serves as its Vice Chairman since May 1994. He serves as the Executive Chairman of the Board of MissionMode Solutions, Inc. He serves as a Director of Business Integrated Solutions LLC, InterAct911 Corporation, HardMetrics, Inc., Mastro Auctions, MastroNet Inc., MissionMode Solutions, Inc., onramp Branding LLC, Pendulab, Inc., SilkRoad Realty Holdings LLC, SilkRoad Technology Inc., SolidSpace LLC, and TrueSentry, Inc. Mr. Filipowski is a recipient of Entrepreneur of the Year Awards from both Ernst & Young and Merrill Lynch and has also been awarded the Young President’s Organization Legacy Award and the Anti-Defamation League's Torch of Liberty Award for his work fighting hate on the Internet.
