From June 1993 to July 1995, Mr. Strauss served as the Co-Chairman of Granite Capital International Group. He served as the Vice Chairman of Salomon Inc. Mr. Strauss serves as a Director of Beacon Power Corporation. He has been Vice Chairman of Cowen Group, Inc. since December 10, 2012 and has been its Director since December 12, 2011. Mr. Strauss also serves on the Advisory Board of Randall's Island Sports Foundation. He serves as Member of the Board of Trustees of The Bachmann-Strauss Dystonia and Parkinson Foundation. Mr. Strauss is a Member of the Mount Sinai-NYU Health Board of Trustees and the Boards of Trustees of Mount Sinai School Of Medicine, Mount Sinai Medical Center, The Mount Sinai Hospital, and Mount Sinai Medical Center Foundation.
