Mr. J. Burgess Jamieson is a Co-Founder of Sigma Partners. He has a successful record of venture capital investing over the past 25 years, spanning several venture capital and public equity market cycles. Previously, Mr. Jamieson served as an Officer and Director at the Western ... Association of Venture Capitalists. Prior to this, in 1973, Mr. Jamieson was a co-founding General Partner of Western Investment Associates (IVA) which discontinued its activities in 1980 after which he formed Jamieson & Co. where he held technical and management positions with Adage, Inc., Honeywell, Inc., Computer Control Company, Electronic Memories and Magnetics Corp., and Sycor, Inc. Previously, in 1971, he became a Partner at WestVen Management, the General Partner of Western Investment Associates. Mr. Jamieson began making personal venture capital investments in 1968. He is a Member of the Advisory Board at Adveq Management AG and Computer History Museum. He attended the Graduate School of Business Administration at Northeastern University and is a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he was elected to Tau Beta Pi and Eta Kappa Nu honorary societies.
