Mr. Barry M. Schuler is employed at Draper Fisher Jurvetson. Mr. Schuler also serves as the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Raydiance Inc. and is its Co-Founder. An acclaimed Internet pioneer, he has developed emerging technologies into successful enterprises for the last 30 years. A serial entrepreneur, Mr. Schuler’s career spans breakthroughs in early design, digital media, video games, computer graphics, interactive media, e-commerce, consumerization of the ... Internet, pioneering the color desktop presentation category, co-developing the first commercial interactive ecommerce technology which included wallet-based 1-click checkout and most recently Ultrashort Pulse Lasers. He spent eight years with AOL, where he was the architect of the consumer experience that brought the Internet into the lives of more than 25 million households. After performing in several roles of increasing responsibility during AOL’s explosive growth, Mr. Schuler ultimately served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer during the height of the company’s reach and influence. He a was member and ultimately leader of the senior management team that matured AOL from $1B to $250B in market cap during 20 consecutive quarters of growth. Prior to AOL, he was the Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of multimedia development firm Medior Inc. until its acquisition by AOL in 1995 and previously was Chief Executive Officer of Cricket Software. Under Mr. Schuler’s leadership, Medior pioneered the use of interactive multimedia for applications such as electronic commerce, entertainment, and corporate information systems. He was the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of America Online Inc. He serves as a Director of Betaworks, EDGAR Online, Synthetic Genomics, MyShape, SCIenergy Inc., UBMatrix and Beijing Shi Yue Network Technology Co., Ltd. He is the Chairman of New Tech Network, now a unit of KnowledgeWorks Foundation, where he serves as a Director. He also co-founded Blue Oak School, Napa Valley's only K-8 independent progressive school. He serves as a Director of Hands-On Mobile, Inc. He is committed to education reform. He has been a Director of Good Technology Corporation since September 2006. Mr. Schuler is a graduated with a B.A. from Rutgers University and a Member of the Rutgers Hall of Distinguished Alumni.
