Mrs. Anna-Maria Kellen, Stephen serves as the Chairman of the Third Street Music School Settlement, an honorary trustee of the Parsons School of Design and The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Mrs. Kellen is a regent of the Cathedral of St. John the Divine. She has been Trustee Emiritus of Cancer Research Institute, Inc. since April 2009. Mrs. Kellen served as Trustee of the Cancer Research Institute Board of Trustees from 1962 to 2009. She serves as a Member of the Director's ... Roundtable of The Morgan Library, The Circle of The National Gallery of Art, the Chairman's Council of Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, The Metropolitan Opera, and L'Association des Amis des Art Decoratifs in Paris. She is also a Member of the Metropolitan Club and The Century Association. From 1978 to 1988, she was a Member of the City of New York’s Commission for Cultural Affairs and from 1983 to 1988, she served as co-chair for the New York Mayor’s Award for Arts and Culture. She has received numerous awards for her service, including a Spirit of the City Award from the Cathedral of St. John the Divine, an award of honor from the Parsons School of Design, the Distinguished Service Medal from The New School for Social Research, and was made a Chevalier de l’ordre des Arts des Lettres by the French Republic. Mrs. Kellen is a Fellow of The Frick Museum. Mrs. Kellen attended the Mommsen Lycée, Berlin Germany. Her studies at the University of Lausanne and Ecole de Louvre were interrupted by World II. During the war, she volunteered as a Red Cross Nurses’ Aid in New York City, for which she received a special Red Cross Citation in 1945.
