Since launching MVP II in 2001, Mr. Pietri has developed expertise and relationships in the financial services information technology, pharmaceutical information technology, healthcare media, and outsourced business service sectors. His earlier financial experience includes co-heading the Technology and Communications Investment Banking Group at Legacy Securities, where Mr. Pietri performed a broad range of capital raising, merger and acquisitions, and other financial advisory services. He was also a member of Legacy’s direct investment team. Mr. Pietri also served as the Vice President at Legacy Securities Corp of Atlanta. He gained valuable control and turn-around investment experience as an Associate at Callier Interests. Earlier, from 1992 to 1997, Mr. Pietri ran information technology consulting and direct sales for CompuSystems, where he along with his team provided solutions for inventory control, order processing, and financial reporting. Mr. Pietri worked in the voice processing industry for innovative technology, call response automation, and his own consulting firm. He serves as a Director of MedPage Today, LLC, MDX Medical, GenomeQuest, Inc., NavTrak Inc., Peridrome Corporation, SmartAnalyst, Inc., BiZBash Media, Inc., Gene-IT Inc., BA-Insight Inc., and Halfpenny Technologies, Inc. Mr. Pietri serves as also a Board Observer at Derivatives Portfolio Management, LLC and an Advisory Board Member of NYC Seed. He has been a Director of Halfpenny Technologies, Inc. since October 2010. He served as a Board Observer of LifeMed Media, Inc. He is also a regular guest lecturer on venture capital at The Johnson School, Cornell University’s M.B.A. program. Mr. Pietri is a qualified C.F.A. While working full-time for CompuSystems, he earned an M.B.A. from the two years Executive M.B.A. Program at the Robinson School of Business at Georgia State University in 1997, graduating in a tie for first in his class. Mr. Pietri has received a B.A., cum laude in English from Duke University in 1989 and is also a graduate of the Venture Capital Institute Graduate Program.
