Mr. Arjun Gupta is the Founder and Managing Partner of TeleSoft Partners. Mr. Gupta focuses on systems, software, semiconductors, and services. He is Chairman of Nexant, Inc. He also served as the Interim Chief Executive Officer at Validity Sensors Inc. since January 30, 2006. At TeleSoft, he managed capital commitments of more than $625 million and has established Corporate Partnerships with Alltel and Bechtel, Deutsche Telekom, and Comverse. Over the last 16 years, ... Mr. Gupta has overseen investing in and helping build 61 private companies, resulting in 36 mergers and acquisitions, and initial public offers to date with a combined current market equity valuation or cash equivalent of around $18 billion (post bubble). He helped develop the core TeleSoft ecosystem, which includes more than 250 industry executives, six corporate partners, and five investment banks as partners. Mr. Gupta has over 20 years of experience working with technology companies in venture capital, consulting, and design engineering roles and is a contrarian investor with extraordinary persistence and belief. From August 1994 to December 1996, he was the Vice President at Chatterjee Management Company focusing on technology investments. From November 1993 to July 1994, Mr. Gupta was a private Consultant. From June 1993 through November 1993, he was with Kleiner Perkins Caufield and Byers. Earlier in his career, Mr. Gupta was a Strategy Consultant at McKinsey and Company, where he led top management projects for Apple, AirTouch, AMD, BasiComputer, Pacific Bell, and ROLM. Mr. Gupta has been a Director of Omnipoint since August 1995. He is a Member of the Stanford Business School Management Board, Trustee of The Aspen Institute, Trustee of the Rocky Mountain Institute, member of the Young President’s Organization (YPO) Colorado Chapter Board, Trustee of Natural Resources Defense Council, Member of the Board of Governors and President of the Western Regional Association of the National Association of Small Business Investor Alliance (SBIA), and Trustee of the Africa Leadership Initiative East Africa Foundation. He was a Director at SanDisk 3D LLC, CreekPath Systems, Inc., Emulex Communications Corporation (also known as Aarohi Communications), The, Xambala, Inc., LogLogic, Inc., and LiteScape Technologies, Inc. He received the International Exchange Award twice and was ranked number 19 by Forbes Magazine in the Top 100 technology venture investors on the 2006 Midas List.
