Hon. Nicholas Frederick Brady, Nick is the Founder and Chairman of Darby Overseas Investments, Ltd. The Honorable Brady serves as a Partner of Argo Management Partners, LLC. Prior to establishing Darby in 1994, The Honorable Brady served as the 68th U.S. Secretary of the Department of Treasury from 1988 to 1993. In this capacity, he also served as the U.S. Governor of the World Bank, International Monetary Fund, Inter-American Development Bank, and the European Bank ... for Reconstruction and Development. During The Honorable Brady’s four and one-half years at Treasury, he designed and implemented a successful strategy to solve the $1.3 trillion less developed nation debt crisis. The Honorable Brady is also credited with containing and resolving the U.S. savings and loan industry crisis through the creation of the Resolution Trust Corporation and serving as the Chairman. Prior to his appointment as a Treasury Secretary, he had a 34 year career in investment banking. He joined Dillon, Read and Co Inc. in 1954 and became the President and Chief Executive Officer in 1971. The Honorable Brady has been the Chairman of the Board of Darby Advisors, Inc. since February 1993. He has been the Chairman of Darby Emerging Markets Investments LDC and Darby Technology Ventures Group LLC since 1994. The Honorable Brady serves as the Chairman of the Corporate General Partner of DEMF. He served as the Chairman of Templeton Emerging Markets Investment Trust PLC from 1994 to September 22, 2004. The Honorable Brady was the Chairman of Purolator, Inc., from 1971 to 1987. He served as the Chairman of the Board of Dillon, Read, and Co., Inc. from 1974 to 1988.
