Dr. Paul A. Bunn, Jr. serves as the Executive Director at International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer. Dr. Bunn's research has been in the development of novel therapies for lung cancer. Dr. Bunn previously served as the President of the American Association of Cancer Institutes, International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC) from 2002 to 2003, and of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO). He headed the Cell Kinetic Section of the ... National Cancer Institute. Dr. Bunn serves as a Director of the University of Colorado Comprehensive Cancer Center. He serves as a Member of Advisory Board of Two River Group Holdings, LLC. Dr. Bunn has been Chairman and Member of Oncology Scientific Advisory Board of Tapestry Pharmaceuticals (formerly known as NaPro BioTherapeutics Inc.) since April 27, 2004. He has been a Member of the Scientific Advisory Board of Tapestry Pharmaceuticals since January 12, 2004. Dr. Bunn is an active member of the Scientific Leadership Council in Lung Cancer. His research interests include chemotherapy in non-small cell and small cell lung cancer and he currently serves as an Associate Editor of Lung Cancer, Annals of Surgical Oncology, Physician Data Query (PDQ), and Oncology Times. Dr. Bunn serves on the editorial boards of a number of journals including Drug Resistance Updates. He has published 300 original papers with recent publications in Journal of the National Cancer Institute, Journal of Clinical Oncology, and Clinical Cancer Research. Dr. Bunn has published over 220 articles in peer review journals, 95 reviews, 87 book chapters, and edited nine books. He received a B.A. in Biology from Amherst College and an M.D. from Cornell University Medical Center in New York. Dr. Bunn completed his residency at the University of California, H.C. Moffitt Hospital in San Francisco and his fellowship in Medical Oncology at the Medicine Branch of the National Cancer Institute.
